Is there a resident’s association at Clearwater?

Yes. CROS, short for Clearwater Resort Owner’s Society, administers the management of common areas, private roads, street lighting and security cameras, just to name a few. The CROS Committee is made up of residents who volunteer their time. The resort employs a full time gardening team to ensure the common areas are always looking their best. Is Clearwater a gated community?

No. Clearwater Avenue is a public road, however all other roads within Clearwater are private roads. It is occasionally patrolled by community patrols and security cameras are located in several spots around the resort, monitored by the CROS manager.

How far is Clearwater from Christchurch City?

Clearwater is about 15 to 20 minutes by car from the central city, depending on traffic. The airport is less than 10 minutes away.

Are there any restrictions when building at Clearwater?

Building design is governed by the Design Committee, part of CROS. The Design Committee is made up of members of the CROS Committee. The design guidelines consider site development and landscape, building design and development, construction, general design matters, and the design approval process. Can I have a private golf cart?

Yes, residents are allowed to own and use private golf carts within Clearwater. If you plan to use a cart on the golf course itself, you’ll also need to follow the golf club’s policies.

Are pets allowed at Clearwater?
